Terms and Conditions
This booking will be served by Scents of Essence (SoE), Car rental & Tours Suriname-Curacao, office registered in Jaggernath Lachmonstraat no 30 Paramaribo-Suriname.

Taxes
Driver Age
The minimum driver’s age is 19 years and the maximum driver’s age is 70 years.
A young driver surcharge of USD 10 per day would be applicable for the drivers within the age of 19-21 years.
A senior driver surcharge of USD 10 per day would be applicable for the drivers within the age of 70-75 years.
Driver’s License
Drivers must hold a full and valid license for at least 2 years with no major endorsements. Also, a valid ID card or passport would be required at time of pick up.
An International Driver’s License (IDL) is mandatory. International driver license or a translation approved by the notary must be accompanied by the original domestic license of the driver.
Insurance Coverage
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
It is included in your rental amount.
Collision damage waiver reduces the customer’s damage responsibility to the excess/deductible amount.
The excess amount for CDW depends on the vehicle groups:
The maximum excess amount for economy vehicle groups is USD 150.
The maximum excess amount for compact vehicle groups is USD 250.
The maximum excess amount for intermediate, intermediate elite and premium vehicle groups is USD 350.
The maximum excess amount for premium elite vehicle groups is USD 500.
Excess Reduction
In the event of an accident, Super Collision Damage Waiver (Super CDW) reduces your excess amount to ZERO.
The price of Super CDW is USD 10 per day for all vehicle groups.
If renter opts for SCDW, a refundable deposit varying from USD 150 to USD 500 will be blocked on the credit card.
Super CDW is optional and can be purchased at the rental desk. For more information please check at the rental desk.
Fees
Airport fee of USD 50 will apply.
Other fees:
1. You are responsible for the cost of any parking fines and other penalties incurred whilst the vehicle is contracted to you. The rental office will pass the relevant charges on to you plus any administrative expenses.
Breakdown Assistance
Breakdown assistance is available for an additional charge of USD 5 per day. This fee includes the services: Free battery boost, if you accidentally drained the battery, your vehicle is locked with your key inside, we can unlock the car, Free towing within Paramaribo if your car breakdown.
Fuel Policy
You have to return the vehicle with same fuel amount as it was supplied to you at the time of pickup. In case of less fuel missing fuel will be charged in addition to a refueling fee on your return. Unused fuel is not refundable. Fuel charges are payable at the rental desk unless otherwise stated. Supplier's fuel policies change from time to time, please confirm at rental counter.
Mileage Policy
Unlimited
Cross border Travel
Cross border travel is not allowed.
Tax Rate
Tax is included in the rental price. However, for all the optional extras or special equipment, or extra services, tax would be levied separately.
Payment Methods
Only MasterCard credit cards are accepted and must be in the main renter's name while paying at the rental desk. Cash and wire transfers are also accepted.
pre-paid cards and Debit Card are not accepted.
Note: all wiring fees are to be paid by the Rentee
Deposit
A refundable deposit varying from USD 150 to USD 500 (depending on the vehicle group) is held from the credit card/Cash at the time of rental until the vehicle is returned.
Delivery and collection
Delivery service is available free of charge within Paramaribo. For delivery service outside Paramaribo fee starts from USD 20.
Out of Hours
Out of hours service is available for an additional charge of USD 15.
Grace Period
for vehicle pick up:
1 hour grace period is free of charge. After 1 hour vehicle will be provided if available.
for vehicle return:
1 hour grace period after appointed return time is free of charge. After 1 hour. USD 15 per hour will apply.
Extras
Confirmation of Special Equipments depends upon the availability at the rental desk.
